About Us
It started with a gap I couldn't ignore.
When I moved to Kolkata in 2003, I noticed how little access women here had to refined western evening wear — unless they travelled abroad, or to bigger cities. For women above 40 especially, the choices were thin: fast fashion basics on one end, heavy occasion wear on the other. Nothing that matched their confidence, their individuality, their evolved sense of self.
That gap stayed with me for years.
In 2019, standing at my own crossroads of reinvention, I finally acted — launching Sixth Avenue as a multi-designer platform to bring the world a little closer to women in my city. But somewhere along the way, I realised my real calling wasn't to curate. It was to create.
In 2026, I closed the store to build something entirely my own. Not the easier path — the truer one.
Sixth Avenue is for the woman above 40 who is social, expressive, independent, and unapologetically herself. The one who walks into a room with quiet authority. Who chooses herself, every time. Who knows style isn't about age — it's about presence.
Kolkata-born. Intentionally made. With you, not just for you.
Sixth Avenue doesn't just dress her. It reminds her who she is.
